Narrow the source area
Use odor concentration, flies, access points and recent activity to prioritize inspection.
Practical answer from Brave Guys
Brave Guys locates and removes dead skunks from accessible crawlspaces, yards and structural areas when the source can be reached safely. Before work, we explain access, removal, disinfection or deodorizing options, repair needs and the limits of the approved scope.
How to read the situation
A persistent skunk odor does not always mean a live animal sprayed nearby. Flies, a concentrated smell and a recent period of wildlife activity may point to a carcass, but an inspection is needed before opening walls or making assumptions about the location.
Recommended sequence
Use odor concentration, flies, access points and recent activity to prioritize inspection.
Evaluate confined-space, height, structural and material-removal limits before starting.
Recover the accessible carcass and affected loose material included in the approved scope.
Apply agreed targeted cleanup and repair the entry point when appropriate and authorized.
Avoid making it worse
Do not cut walls or enter a hazardous confined area based only on odor. Source-location work reduces unnecessary damage, and some concealed spaces may require a separate construction professional for access or restoration.
California handling rules
California guidance says captured skunks may not generally be transported and released elsewhere without written permission from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Brave Guys explains the lawful on-site options and does not advertise a misleading routine relocation service.

Local availability
Choose your location for local property notes, nearby coverage and a page-specific contact path.
We combine exterior entry evidence, odor concentration, fly activity and accessible visual inspection. No method can guarantee the exact point before the source is physically confirmed.
Access work depends on location, risk and the written scope. If construction or restoration is outside the approved service, we explain that before work begins.
Removing the source is the most important step, but odor absorbed into soil, insulation or framing may decline over time and may require additional targeted treatment.
Yes, when the relevant opening is identified and accessible. The repair scope is quoted separately and performed only when no live animal will be trapped inside.

1-Year Brave Guys Exclusion Warranty
If an animal breaks through or re-enters through an entry point Brave Guys repaired within one year of completion, we will return, address or remove the animal as necessary, and repair that same entry point again at no additional charge.
Applies only to qualifying exclusion and entry-point closure work performed by Brave Guys, not automatically to every pest-control service. New openings elsewhere and entry points we did not repair are outside this warranty.
