The complete service

Our 3-step rodent process

1. Removal: your choice of method

Choose snap traps for full extermination or a more humane approach such as one-way exclusion doors. A one-way door lets rodents leave but blocks that route back in, where the structure suits it. Arman explains the practical limits of each option, and you decide which approved method to use.

2. Find and seal every entry point

Rodent control is not complete when the activity stops. We perform a very thorough inspection of the accessible structure to find the openings rats or mice used, then define and seal the approved entry points after the animals are out.

3. Attic or crawl-space cleanup

When the removal and sealing work is done, the affected accessible attic or crawl space can be cleaned. The approved cleanup may include physical removal of droppings, disinfection and odor removal.

The plan before the work

What happens next

01

Inspect the activity

Arman checks the accessible evidence, likely routes and the parts of the structure connected to the problem.

02

Choose the removal method

You receive a plain explanation of snap traps and any suitable one-way-door option, then approve the method.

03

Seal the identified openings

After the rodents are removed or have left through the approved one-way route, the agreed entry points are closed.

04

Clean the affected space

The approved accessible attic or crawl-space areas receive the defined droppings removal, disinfection and odor work.

Removal options

Snap traps or a humane approach: you choose

Snap traps are the full-extermination option. A one-way exclusion door is a non-lethal option that allows rodents to leave through a controlled opening without using that route to get back inside. It is used only where the structure and entry pattern make it suitable.

Arman explains which approach fits the property, including what each method can and cannot do. The final choice is yours, and the approved method is documented before work starts.

Close the routes back inside

Why sealing matters as much as removal

Rodents can squeeze through very small gaps, so openings larger than about 1/4 inch matter during rodent proofing. Roof rats climb, which means a ground-level check alone can miss the route.

The inspection follows accessible roofline, eaves, roof and attic vents, pipe and utility penetrations, garage areas, crawl-space vents and the foundation. Read how this work is handled in our Rat & Rodent Exclusion section.

After removal and sealing

Cleanup after the rodents are gone

Cleanup can include physical removal of droppings, disinfection and odor removal in the accessible affected areas. See the full attic cleanup service or learn about work under the house and in crawl spaces.

We don't replace or install insulation. If yours needs replacing, we can recommend a trusted partner company that does.

Common questions

Rodent control FAQ

Do you handle both rats and mice?

Yes. Brave Guys handles rats and mice in homes in Glendale and nearby areas. The free inspection looks at the animal signs, accessible routes and openings before Arman explains the recommended scope.

Do I have to use snap traps?

No. You choose between snap traps for full extermination and a more humane approach using one-way exclusion doors where the structure suits it. Arman explains which option fits the property before you decide.

Why do you need to find every entry point?

Removing the rodents does not close the openings they used. A thorough inspection looks for accessible gaps at the roofline, vents, eaves, pipe and utility penetrations, garage, crawl space and foundation so the approved openings can be sealed.

Do you clean the attic or crawl space afterward?

Yes, when included in the approved scope. After removal and sealing, cleanup can include physical removal of droppings, disinfection and odor removal in the accessible affected areas.

Do you replace insulation?

No. We don't replace or install insulation. If yours needs replacing, we can recommend a trusted partner company that does.

How much does rodent control cost?

Rodent work is quoted for the actual property after the free inspection. Any travel charge is confirmed before the visit, and the scope and price are explained and approved before work starts.
