After the animals are out

What our attic cleanup includes

Physical removal of droppings

We physically remove droppings from the accessible affected areas included in the approved scope. The work follows safe access; concealed or unreachable spaces are not described as cleaned.

Disinfection of the affected areas

After the physical material is removed, the approved affected surfaces receive disinfection. The scope is based on what the inspection finds, not an automatic whole-attic assumption.

Odor removal

We address odor in the approved cleanup area. Odor absorbed into wood or other building materials can take time to fade, so the service is not presented as an instant guarantee that every smell disappears.

What it doesn't include

Insulation replacement or installation

We don't replace or install insulation. If yours needs replacing, we can recommend a trusted partner company that does.

Separate services

Repairs and carcass removal

Entry-point repairs are a separate exclusion service. An accessible carcass is handled through our dead-animal service, with its own inspection and approved scope.

Correct order of work

Why cleanup comes after removal and sealing

Cleaning while rodents or wildlife can still enter creates an obvious risk of recontamination. The animal must be out, and the relevant openings need to be sealed or included in a confirmed plan before the cleanup work is treated as the final step.

Attic wildlife removal covers getting an animal out and identifying its route. For rats and mice, see the complete rodent control process.

The plan before the work

What happens next

01

Inspect and confirm the sequence

Check the accessible affected areas and confirm the animals are out and openings are sealed or scheduled for sealing.

02

Remove droppings

Physically remove the accessible droppings from the approved work area.

03

Disinfect

Apply the defined disinfection step after the physical material has been removed.

04

Address odor and explain the work

Complete the approved odor-removal work and explain what was done, including any areas that could not be reached.

Scope based on evidence

How the cleanup scope is set

The free inspection defines the accessible affected areas. No whole-attic job is assumed automatically, and inaccessible areas are not represented as inspected or cleaned. You approve the cleanup scope and price before work begins.

Attic cleanup is quoted for the actual property after inspection. Any travel charge is confirmed before the visit.

Cleanup questions

Before the attic work

Do you replace insulation?

No. We don't replace or install insulation. If yours needs replacing, we can recommend a trusted partner company that does.

Is attic cleanup different from attic wildlife removal?

Yes. Attic wildlife removal addresses the animal and how it got inside. Attic cleanup is the later service for physical droppings removal, disinfection and odor removal in the approved accessible areas.

Should the attic be cleaned before or after the rodents are gone?

Cleanup should follow removal and entry-point sealing or a confirmed sealing plan. If animals can still enter, the cleaned area can be contaminated again.

Will the smell go away?

Odor removal addresses the approved affected area, but odor absorbed into wood or other materials can take time to fade. We do not promise that every odor disappears immediately.

Do you also clean crawl spaces?

Crawl-space cleanup and disinfection can be part of our rodent process after removal and sealing. Safe access and the actual affected area determine the approved scope. Learn more about crawl-space wildlife work and our rodent control process.

1 YEAR

1-Year Brave Guys Exclusion Warranty

We stand behind the entry points we repair.

If an animal breaks through or re-enters through an entry point Brave Guys repaired within one year of completion, we will return, address or remove the animal as necessary, and repair that same entry point again at no additional charge.

Applies only to qualifying exclusion and entry-point closure work performed by Brave Guys, not automatically to every pest-control service. New openings elsewhere and entry points we did not repair are outside this warranty.
