Map vulnerable edges
Inspect connected openings and identify which areas are part of the same shelter space.
Practical answer from Brave Guys
Skunk exclusion is the repair work that blocks reuse of a foundation, deck, shed or crawlspace after the occupied area is clear. Brave Guys identifies vulnerable edges, explains the proposed material and scope, and avoids sealing until animal activity and possible young have been addressed.
How to read the situation
A durable barrier must fit the structure and resist both gaps and digging. Closing only the most obvious hole can shift the animal to an adjacent weak point, while premature sealing can trap wildlife underneath.
Recommended sequence
Inspect connected openings and identify which areas are part of the same shelter space.
Use activity evidence and the removal plan to establish that the occupied area is empty.
Secure material to the structure and address digging risk where the property allows.
Show what was closed and identify unrelated maintenance items that were not included.
Avoid making it worse
Exclusion is not just cosmetic lattice or loose mesh. The barrier, attachment and below-grade detail must suit the site, and no repair should knowingly seal an animal or dependent young inside.
California handling rules
California guidance says captured skunks may not generally be transported and released elsewhere without written permission from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Brave Guys explains the lawful on-site options and does not advertise a misleading routine relocation service.

After inspection and confirmed clearance. Timing depends on the evidence, the removal method and whether dependent young may be present.
The quoted scope identifies the relevant wildlife openings and repair areas. General construction defects or unrelated pest-proofing should be listed separately rather than assumed.
Skunks can dig, so ground contact and below-grade resistance matter. The appropriate detail depends on soil, concrete, roots, utilities and access.
Brave Guys provides a one-year warranty on the specific exclusion repairs it performs. If an animal re-enters through a repaired point within that year, we return, address or remove the animal as necessary, and repair that point again at no additional charge. New or unrepaired openings elsewhere are outside the warranty.

1-Year Brave Guys Exclusion Warranty
If an animal breaks through or re-enters through an entry point Brave Guys repaired within one year of completion, we will return, address or remove the animal as necessary, and repair that same entry point again at no additional charge.
Applies only to qualifying exclusion and entry-point closure work performed by Brave Guys, not automatically to every pest-control service. New openings elsewhere and entry points we did not repair are outside this warranty.
