Confirm the species and location
Arman inspects the relevant accessible attic, crawl space, deck, wall route, burrow area or yard edge. Most wildlife inspections are free; snakes and dead animals are the $175 inspection exceptions.

Identify the active zone
In Montrose, a wildlife call may begin with attic footsteps, quick wall scratching, a skunk odor near a foundation, disturbed soil beside a retaining edge or a visible animal crossing the yard. Heavy nighttime movement can suggest a raccoon or opossum, but the sound alone is not enough to decide. Arman looks for accessible openings, tracks, droppings, gnawing, damaged screens and the outside route connected to the noise.
Ground-level activity can involve a skunk, opossum, ground squirrel or another yard animal. Ground squirrels are active above ground during the day and use burrow systems; gophers stay mostly underground and push up crescent-shaped mounds. A snake sighting requires distance and a current location. The service begins by separating those patterns so the wrong equipment is not placed for the wrong animal.
Odor may travel from outside, waste may remain in a sheltered den, or a dead source may be hidden behind construction. A $175 dead-animal inspection follows the smell through accessible areas; removal is quoted afterward if the body can be reached. Other listed wildlife inspections are free except for the separate $175 snake inspection.
Montrose property conditions
The Honolulu Avenue area includes commercial and residential activity, garages and established properties where an animal may travel through a yard or alley without entering a building. Moving uphill into residential sections, changes in grade, mature landscaping and rock or block retaining features can place wildlife close to roofs, decks and raised foundations. The actual opening—not the neighborhood label—determines the work.
Montrose sits within the Crescenta Valley foothill setting. Homes may have vented attics, crawl spaces, exterior stairs, patios or additions that create separate inspection zones. A sound above one room may trace to an eave or roof vent, while odor beneath another part of the home may come from a foundation opening. Arman keeps those areas distinct until evidence connects them.
Mature trees and dense shrubs can support outside travel by rats, raccoons and opossums. Ground squirrels may be visible on slopes, along walls or near yard edges, and skunks may use protected ground-level voids. None of those conditions proves an infestation. A free inspection for those species checks the accessible evidence before a removal plan is quoted.
La Crescenta is the adjoining service area for this foothill corridor. Homeowners can use the wildlife removal page for La Crescenta when that is the correct address, while Montrose customers can use the dedicated skunk page for a confirmed skunk problem. Both links are included below so the service location and animal intent remain clear.
How we work
Brave Guys separates identification, removal, exclusion and cleanup so each part can be approved for the actual Montrose property.
Arman inspects the relevant accessible attic, crawl space, deck, wall route, burrow area or yard edge. Most wildlife inspections are free; snakes and dead animals are the $175 inspection exceptions.
The species and structure determine whether trapping or a one-way door is suitable. Raccoon options follow the fixed prices below. Ground-squirrel work uses humane live traps.
Dependent young and active use are checked before an opening is closed. No occupied attic, crawl space, deck void or burrow opening at the structure is sealed simply because it is visible.
Entry-point closure and cleanup are separately scoped. Ask which qualifying points repaired by Brave Guys receive the one-year exclusion-repair warranty. The warranty applies to specific work, not the entire open yard or building.
Prepare for an efficient visit
Text whether the property is in Montrose and identify the part closest to the activity: street-facing garage, uphill yard, roof edge, crawl-space door or side deck. Explain the time of day and whether the same route repeats. If the mailing address could be confused with La Crescenta or another nearby community, include the full service address so coverage and the correct page can be confirmed.
Take photos only from a safe surface. Do not climb a retaining wall or roof, reach into a burrow, remove a vent screen or enter a cramped under-house space. Keep pets away from the suspected den and give any visible animal room to leave. For a snake, keep your distance and report the current location instead of attempting to contain it.
Arrange gate, tenant, garage, attic and crawl-space access before the scheduled window. Tell Arman about steep stairs, tight parking, a locked side passage or stored objects that block the inspection area. An inaccessible cavity or unsafe section is documented as a limit; it is not included through broad language about the whole property.
Confirmed pricing
Inspections for raccoons, skunks, opossums, rodents, ground squirrels, gophers and similar wildlife are free. Snake inspections cost $175, and dead-animal source-finding inspections cost $175. If a travel charge applies to a farther address, it is confirmed before dispatch. Exclusion, repair, cleanup and extra equipment are not added without a separate explanation and approval.
Raccoon trapping costs $200 to set one trap for up to two weeks, plus $150 for each animal caught. That makes one animal $350 and two $500, with no capture guarantee. When the verified opening, structure and animal situation are suitable, a one-way door is $450 flat regardless of the number of animals inside. Entry-point repair is separate.
For a dead animal, the $175 inspection covers source finding. Accessible body removal is approximately $100–$300 depending on access, location and condition, and that range is additional. After removal, local disinfection of the immediate spot is free. A body may be removed from an attic, crawl space, accessible wall, yard, pool, patio or other reachable place on the property.

Brave Guys Inc. lists California Structural Pest Control Board company registration PR 10209, Branch 2. Arman Nazarian holds SPCB Operator OPR 15111 and serves as owner and field technician. The company operates from one address at 633 N Central Ave, Glendale, CA 91203; Montrose is a service area, not an office.
Arman also holds California Department of Fish and Wildlife trapping license TP-11016. Displaying these credentials makes the responsible provider clear, while the property inspection remains necessary to identify the species, accessible areas and appropriate work.
Who handles the call?
City or county animal control usually handles dead or injured animals on public streets. An animal inside a private attic, wall, crawl space, deck void, garage or yard is generally a private-property wildlife issue. Brave Guys can inspect those accessible areas, explain the removal choice and quote repairs with the owner's permission.
Use the appropriate public agency for a public-road situation. For activity at a Montrose address, text the location and problem directly. Brave Guys is not a government department and does not publish or promise the response of another agency.
Local questions
These answers describe the scope on this page. Arman confirms access, method and price for the actual property before work begins.
Most wildlife inspections are free. Snake and dead-animal inspections are $175. Raccoon trapping is $200 setup plus $150 per animal caught, or $450 for a one-way door where suitable. Dead-animal removal is approximately $100–$300 plus its inspection. Other approved work is quoted separately.
Yes. Montrose properties near Honolulu Avenue and in the surrounding foothill residential areas are within the service area. Send the full address, parking and access details so coverage, the relevant structure and any travel charge can be confirmed before dispatch.
Do not reach into an opening, block an animal's route or place yourself near a confined wild animal. The same location could involve a skunk, opossum, raccoon or another species, and young may be present. Let Arman inspect the accessible evidence first.
Yes. Dependent young are considered before any active den, attic, crawl-space or sheltered opening is closed. Tell Arman about small vocal sounds or repeated adult trips. Brave Guys never closes a confirmed occupied space.
Explain where the odor is strongest and whether it is associated with skunk scent, waste or a possible dead source. Dead-animal source finding is a $175 inspection. Other wildlife inspections are generally free, and accessible evidence determines the next scope.
Accessible building openings are quoted after clearance. For ground squirrels, specified openings at the structure may be sealed with metal mesh and cement after all squirrels in the approved problem are caught. Ask which repairs qualify for the one-year exclusion-repair warranty.
Yes, La Crescenta is a nearby service area with its own wildlife page. Use the exact service address so the correct area and access plan are recorded. Montrose also has a dedicated skunk-removal page for confirmed skunk activity.
Call or text (818) 627-8118 daily between 8 AM and midnight, Los Angeles time. Those are contact hours. Arman separately confirms the available field appointment and does not promise an immediate evening visit.
The site lists Brave Guys Inc. under SPCB registration PR 10209, Branch 2. Arman Nazarian holds SPCB Operator OPR 15111 and CDFW trapping license TP-11016.
It covers only specific qualifying entry points repaired by Brave Guys under an approved scope. It does not guarantee that wildlife will never appear in the yard or use a new or unrepaired opening. The written warranty page provides the terms.
