Map the odor and evidence
Arman asks where the smell changes, whether a body is visible and which building or level is involved. He then checks the relevant accessible areas rather than treating every cavity on the property as open.

Odor and location clues
A Burbank dead-animal call may involve visible remains in a yard, pool or patio, or it may begin with a smell that appears near a wall, ceiling or floor. Air can move through framing bays, attic openings, utility routes and raised foundations. That is why Arman asks when the odor began, where it changes, and whether animal noise stopped before the smell appeared instead of assuming the source sits directly behind the strongest point.
Flies around a vent, an odor that intensifies near an attic hatch, staining near an accessible cavity or a concentrated smell at a crawl-space door can help direct the inspection. Rats, opossums, raccoons and skunks can all be involved, but the species is not guessed from smell. Source finding focuses on the accessible location and removal path, because access controls what can be completed safely.
When a source is inside a wall, the existing route matters. An accessible opening may make removal possible without describing the entire wall as open, while a fully sealed cavity can prevent direct reach. Brave Guys does not guarantee that every concealed source can be accessed. The paid inspection gives you a documented explanation of the areas checked, the evidence found and the limitations that remain.
Burbank building access
Many Burbank properties include a detached garage, alley-facing structure or addition that should be considered separately from the main house. A smell near a back room can come through an exterior utility area, an attached roof section or a nearby crawl space. Tell Arman which building is involved and whether the odor is inside, outside or present in both places. That prevents time being spent on the wrong structure.
Raised foundations can divide the under-house area with beams, additions or limited openings. Odor may emerge through plumbing penetrations or floor gaps even when the body is closer to a perimeter vent. The crawl-space door may also be too small or the area too low, wet or obstructed for complete access. Those conditions are described plainly; inaccessible sections are not represented as inspected.
In Magnolia Park, the Rancho district and blocks nearer the Burbank Hills, mature trees, yard structures, block walls and changing grade can put the source in a patio edge, planter, under-deck area, attic corner or garage roof void. A source outdoors is still part of private-property pickup, including a body in a pool or open yard. The inspection is priced the same because its purpose is to determine the source and access.
After removal, Brave Guys provides free local disinfection of the immediate spot. The service does not promise an instant end to odor that has soaked into wood, drywall, insulation or another porous material. We do not replace insulation. If replacement is needed, we can recommend a partner company, while keeping that work separate from the approved removal.
How we work
You receive a clear distinction between the $175 source-finding visit, the body-removal amount and any separate repair or cleanup request.
Arman asks where the smell changes, whether a body is visible and which building or level is involved. He then checks the relevant accessible areas rather than treating every cavity on the property as open.
The $175 inspection covers source-finding work. Arman identifies what was confirmed, what can be reached, and any wall, attic, crawl-space or safety limitation that prevents direct access.
Body removal is approximately $100–$300 depending on access, location and condition and is separate from the inspection. The amount is explained before work, whether the source is in a yard, pool, attic, crawl space, wall or under-house area.
Local disinfection of the immediate spot is free after removal. Arman explains what was done, whether odor may take time to fade and whether a live-animal opening or broader cleanup needs a separate plan.
Prepare without disturbing the source
Send the Burbank address, the best access contact and the first date of the odor. Note which room, garage, hallway, yard edge or pool area is strongest. If air conditioning, an attic fan, afternoon heat or an opened door changes the smell, include that observation. It can help distinguish where odor is entering the living area from where the source may actually rest.
Do not enter a low crawl space, climb across attic framing, remove insulation or cut into drywall to search. Keep pets away from visible remains and avoid moving a body simply to test the odor. There may be sharp materials, waste or live animals near the same route. A safe ground-level photo is useful only when the source or opening is already visible without approaching it.
Arrange access to the attic hatch, foundation door, side yard, garage or alley gate before the visit. If a tenant, property manager or neighbor controls an entry point, confirm that coordination in advance. Tell Arman about low clearance, standing water, stored items, active construction or a blocked driveway so the accessible inspection can be planned honestly.
Confirmed pricing
The dead-animal inspection is $175 because the first task is locating the source through accessible evidence, not simply arriving at a known body. That is a paid inspection even if a concealed location cannot ultimately be reached. Dead animals and snakes are the only $175 inspection categories listed on the site; the wildlife inspection rules for other species are different.
After the source and access are confirmed, removal costs approximately $100–$300. The final amount within that range depends on the body location, access and condition, and it is added to the $175 inspection. Arman states the approved removal price before proceeding rather than treating the estimate as permission for unrelated work.
Free local disinfection of the immediate spot follows removal. Whole-attic cleaning, broad crawl-space work, construction access, entry-point closure and insulation replacement are not included in that line. Brave Guys does not replace insulation, though a partner company can be recommended. Any travel charge for a farther address is confirmed before dispatch.

Arman's California Department of Fish and Wildlife trapping license is listed as Trapper ID TP-11016. It supports related wildlife work if live animals are confirmed, while the service on this page stays focused on a dead source and the accessible removal you approve.
Who handles the call?
City or county animal control usually handles dead or injured animals found on public streets. A body in a private yard, pool, patio, attic, crawl space, wall or under-house area requires property access and source-finding work that a private licensed company such as Brave Guys provides. The distinction is about location and responsibility, not simply the animal species.
For a public roadway or public facility, contact the appropriate agency. For private Burbank property, tell Arman whether the source is visible or whether you only smell it. Brave Guys is not a city department and does not claim to know how a public agency will respond to every situation.
Local questions
These answers describe the scope on this page. Arman confirms access, method and price for the actual property before work begins.
The source-finding inspection is $175. Accessible body removal is approximately $100–$300 depending on access, location and condition, and that range is separate from the inspection. Local disinfection of the immediate spot is included free after removal.
Arman checks relevant accessible wall, attic, crawl-space and under-house areas and follows the odor pattern. Finished construction, low clearance or sealed cavities may prevent direct access, so no inspection can guarantee that every concealed source will be reached.
Yes. Brave Guys removes accessible dead animals from anywhere on the private property, including a yard, pool, patio, attic, crawl space, under the house or inside a wall when accessible.
The $175 visit is source-finding work that may require comparing several accessible areas before a body is located. It applies even when odor leads to a concealed area that cannot safely be reached. The removal amount is quoted separately after access is understood.
It is local disinfection of the immediate spot after the accessible body is removed. It does not mean full attic or crawl-space cleaning, construction repair or insulation work. Any larger approved scope is discussed separately.
There is no responsible exact promise. Removing the body and disinfecting the spot addresses the immediate source, but odor absorbed into surrounding materials can take time to fade. Access limits can also affect what can be treated directly.
That is separate exclusion work and only occurs after the space is confirmed clear of live animals. If an accessible opening is identified, Arman can explain a repair quote and which specific work may qualify for the one-year exclusion-repair warranty.
Yes, those Burbank areas are within the service territory. Text the exact address, identify the building or part of the property involved, and describe any gate, alley or tenant access so dispatch terms can be confirmed.
Phone and text contact hours are 8 AM to midnight daily in Los Angeles time. Field service timing is confirmed separately and immediate or after-hours arrival is not guaranteed.
No automatic warranty is added to odor or body-removal work. The one-year exclusion-repair warranty applies only to specific qualifying entry points repaired by Brave Guys under an approved exclusion scope.
